Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information, community, and resources regardless of ability. We are committed to creating an inclusive, user-friendly, and accessible experience — both online and in person. Our website is designed to ensure all visitors can navigate and engage with our content independently and comfortably. Additionally, we strive to provide accessible venues, accommodations, and support services at our in-person events to ensure full participation for all attendees.

We Want to Hear From You!

Your feedback is essential in helping us improve! If you encounter any accessibility barriers, need assistance, or have suggestions for a better experience, please reach out to us.

Our In-Person Efforts

Please discuss any areas not covered below with our Committee Members or volunteers. These general policies, rules and regulations are subject to change.

The Monterey Conference Center (MCC) is ADA compliant. In accordance with the ADA, we are responsible for accommodations associated with permanent premise access, such as, but not limited to, wheelchair ramps, elevator standards, door width standards and restroom accessibility. Open a new window, and read their policy.

It is MBAR's responsibility to accommodate non-permanent accessibility requirements and incorporate visually-assisted devices, interpreters, and temporary seating accessibility if needed.

Assisted hearing devices are available through our preferred in-house Audio-Visual provider.

ADA Accessibility - MBAR 2026 will provide ASL Interpreter(s) on these days:

  • Friday - To be determined

  • Saturday - To be determined

  • Sunday - To be determined

Please Note: ADA accessibility's are subject to change with the new schedules, reservation times, and locations.

Our Online Efforts

We actively work to meet and exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, following best practices from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). Our team regularly:

  • Conducts accessibility audits and updates to enhance usability.

  • Implements ADA-compliant website features to ensure inclusive access.

  • Uses assistive technology testing to identify areas for improvement.

Ongoing Accessibility

While we strive to maintain the highest accessibility standards, some content may still need further enhancements. As technology evolves, we remain dedicated to continuous improvement—seeking the best solutions to ensure a seamless experience for all users.
